Alicia wrote a superb dissertation as part of her Personal Study for her A2 Coursework entitled 'Feeling the Space'. Here are some of its highlights.

This is Alicia’s exam piece for her A level Fine Art, which she took this summer, and for which she received an A grade. The enormous mixed media work was based on the theme of ‘Truth, fantasy, fiction’, and explored the deeper truths within family relationships. Alicia is now preparing to read Architecture at Brookes.

After a brief hiatus for exams, revision and the like, The Wychwood Art blog returns in style with a small selection of Alicia's final images for her Portraiture GCSE Coursework project. Shot through glass they explore surface and distortion.

For her Exam project theme of ‘Order and/or Disorder’ Alicia has taken inspiration from Moholy-Nagy, Hannah Hoch, Charlotte Cory, Lewis Carroll and Victorian portraiture. Her early studies are produced using a combination of cut and paste and digital layering.

Alicia made a rich variety of interesting and individual imagery for her Still Life project. Below are a selection of scanography images that she made by directly placing objects onto the school scanner and then manipulating them in photoshop. She also made a lovely collection of images using text, form, light and structure as she explored the conventions and traditions of the photographic still life.

Alongside her superb Coursework projects, Alicia also produced a range of individual and highly proficient imagery for her ‘Word of the Week’ project. Some of this work was then used as a starting point for themes explored in other projects.
