Anna travelled to South Africa during the summer and spent two weeks on a wildlife reserve. As well as going on poaching patrol, spotlighting and latrine surveying she found the time to make some fantastic work, here are a few examples.

These large works are from Annabelle's AS Fine Art coursework portfolio. They are based on drawings of the negative spaces in a still life of bentwood chairs, produced in paper and then layered and interspersed with pen and ink (and sometimes stick) sketches of wild garlic heads and the thistles known as 'Miss Wilmot's Ghost'.

For her Photographers Project Annabelle chose the incredible work of renowned photographer Tim Flach as an inspiration. Here are some semi abstract studies that she made of her much loved pet Nutmeg, the family hound.

AS Photography 'Environment'

The Study 1 (Year 12) girls are busy working on their AS Coursework project at the moment. The theme this year is 'Environment' and their work is moving in some very interesting directions.

Here is one of Anna's fantastic still life final pieces, produced in response to the theme of 'Force', for Exam project. Her project was about the force of nature and this image was made by putting food colouring in water and waiting for the colour to pass through to the petals. Excellent !
